At the risk of sounding like a complete self-promoting whore (who doesn't get paid for his services), I just wanted to mention to you and your readers/ listeners that I've just posted a video documentary about BDSM on my blog page: www.leatherbound.libsyn.com.

"Out of the Darkness" features a number of community leaders (players, not beauty pageant winners) talking about who we are, how we like to play, and how to differentiate between consensual BDSM and abuse. It's an important short film, I think, and has been used across the country and, indeed, the world to better explain the nature of our kinks.

The video is completely free to download, although if people are so inclined, donations may be made to the Leather Archives and Museum in its name, "Out of the Darkness."

According to Wikipedia, Predicament bondage has a little bit different definition that what I described (although I believe that my definition of the "ticking clock" thing is still very appropriate to it. It is bondage with a consequence in both instances.)

Predicament bondage is the art of restraining a person by bondage in such a way that there is a limited number of positions in which they can be (usually two). Both of these positions are so uncomfortable or painful that they are forced to shift their weight or position. Upon doing so, they place themselves in the other equally uncomfortable position. The person restrained will try over and over again to find a position that will bring them comfort, but to no avail.
For example, someone may be tied so that they are forced to stand on tiptoes. An attempt to stand with feet flat on the ground means that their genitals, which are also tightly bound, will be pulled. Eventually, the foot muscles will tire, and they will no longer be able to stand on tiptoe.
